Jantar Mantra Jaipur- Jantar Mantar is a historic monument of Jaipur. Rajasthan has become a very popular historical heritage. Jantar Mantar was constructed by Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh and its construction was completed in 1738 CE. Jantar Mantar is the world's largest stone wall block and also included in the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Alwar Fort-

Alwar Fort is a big fort and it is also called 'Bala fort', meaning 'new fort'. From the Alwar Fort on the top of 300 meters vertical cliffs, you can also see the beautiful view of Alwar Sahar. This fort was built by Hasan Khan Mewati in 1550. Allar Fort is 5 km long and 1.5 km wide and has six historic entrances- Chand pole, Suraj Pal (named after King Sun of Bharatpur), Jai Pol, Kishan Pole, Andheri Gay and Laxman Pole legends say that Alwar Pratap Singh, the founder of the state, had entered the fort through Lakshman Pole. Lakshman Pole is the only paved road connecting the city and the fort.

 History of Alwar Fort-

Hassan Khan Mewati built Alwar Fort in 1551 AD. After this, the Mughals, Marathas and Jats had made the Ashar on Alwar Fort. Finally, in 1775 Kachwaha Rajput Pratap Singh captured this fort and laid the foundation of Alwar city near it. Babur, the Mughal Emperor had spent a night in the fort, while Jahangir stayed for three years during the exile and at that time he named it as Salim Mahal.

Architecture of Alwar Fort-

Alwar Fort is counted among the biggest forts in Rajasthan, which extends up to 5 km. The fort has 6 entrances and is known as the poles. The 6 entrances of the fort are Chand Pol, Suraj Pol, Krishna Pol, Laxman Pole, Andheri Gate and Jay Poll. Each of these gates is named after some rulers and their goodness has been told. Fort has been built in many styles and beautiful sculptures and statues have been made in the walls of the fort. Apart from these beautiful carvings, the fort also includes other notable buildings such as Suraj Kud, Salim Nagar Lake, Jal Mahal and Nikumbh Mahal Palace. There are several temples in the fort complex.

How to reach Alwar Fort-

By Road: Alwar Fort is located 7 km away on the Baala Fort Road in the west of Alwar city. Any rickshaw can easily reach here by bus or by foot. 

By rail: Alwar railway station is well connected to the rest of Rajasthan, such as Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Chennai, Bikaner, Pali, Jaipur, Ahmedabad.  

Air: Jaipur Airport and Delhi International Airport are the nearest airport to Alwar Fort. Anyone from these airports can easily travel across India.
